Where does the name "Bagazip" come from?

Bagazip is "bag a zip": a bag and a zipper. The whole game lives in that image - you fill bags with cards, then you zip them shut before they burst. The name sums up the tension of every game: load as much as you can, but close in time.

Behind Bagazip there is a simple wish: a travel card game you can pull out anywhere - at the table, on a train, under a tent - with no board, no app, no setup. Just a deck of Bagazip cards and two minutes of rules.

The concept

In Bagazip, each player fills their bags with cards from five worlds: Forest, Ocean, Mountain, Desert and Volcano. A bag never mixes them: one bag, one world. The goal is to zip your bags at the right moment.

• Fill. You lay your cards on your bags, one world per bag.
• Zip. Between 8 and 12 cards in total, you can close the bag and bank it.
• Make it burst. At 13 and beyond, the seam gives way: the bag is lost. The whole art is pushing your opponents\u2019 bags to bursting... while closing yours in time.

It is this little dilemma - stop or risk one more card - that gives Bagazip its bite. Easy to grasp, hard to put down.

The special cards

Three troublemakers can flip a round in a second:

• Filou - it reaches into an opponent\u2019s bag and walks off with their finest card.
• Tornad' - it won\u2019t settle for one card: it spins every bag of the same world around the table.
• ZIP - the ultimate card. The zipper snaps: your bag is sealed at 12, perfect, and every opponent bag of the same colour closes too.

For whom, and in what format?

Bagazip plays with 2 to 8 players, ages 8+, for games of 15 to 30 minutes. The rules explain themselves in two minutes, which makes it a true travel card game: nomadic, family-friendly, and just sneaky enough that you'll want a rematch right away.
