Frequently asked questions about Bagazip
Everything people most often ask about the Bagazip card game: the rules, the format, the special cards and the pre-sale.
What is Bagazip?
Bagazip is a travel card game: you fill bags of five different worlds - Forest, Ocean, Mountain, Desert, Volcano - zip them between 8 and 12 cards, and make your opponents crack. Nothing to set up, a pocket is enough.
Why the name "bag a zip"?
Bagazip comes from "bag a zip": a bag (bag) and a zipper (zip). You fill bags with cards then zip them shut before they burst.
How do you play a game?
You lay cards on your bags (one world per bag), zip between 8 and 12 cards to bank them, and push opponent bags toward 13 or more to burst them. Three special cards can flip a round.
How many players and from what age?
For 2 to 8 players, ages 8+, for games of 15 to 30 minutes. The rules explain themselves in two minutes, at the table or while camping.
What do the special cards do?
Filou steals the finest card from an opponent bag. Tornad' spins every bag of the same world around the table. ZIP zips your bag at 12 while closing opponent bags of the same colour.
Where and when can I buy Bagazip?
The Bagazip cards will launch through a pre-sale campaign on Ulule. By leaving your email on the site, you are notified on opening day, 24h before the public announcement.
Does signing up for the pre-sale commit me to anything?
No. No payment or firm reservation: you only leave your email to be notified first, and you decide on launch day. Unsubscribe in one click.
Can you really play it while travelling?
Yes, that's the idea: a nomadic travel card game, with no board or app, that fits in a pocket and plays at the table, camping or on a train.
Are the illustrations made by AI?
Some of them, yes, but only for now. Our current mascot Zip and the card borders were hand-drawn by illustrator Léna Chatellier. For this pre-launch site, most of the visuals were AI-generated, just to present the concept and the world of Bagazip. The final game will be entirely hand-illustrated by a professional artist: we care about human creativity and the craft of drawing. Follow the journey on our Instagram @bagazipgame.
